To Robyn, who’s already a great Mom even though we’re still two weeks from the due date. And to my Mom, wish you were here.

This, of course, isn't how I remember my Mom. Before she had her 5 kids, she was in the convent. Story from the other nuns is she left because she was too much of a "free spirit". So true. She was 20 when this picture was shot in 1950. She was not a pious person, yet there's something in this picture that captures part of who she was. Happy Mother's Day, Mom, wish you were here.
